Stanley gives the classic firm, oval prune; Anna Späth a larger, softer and sweeter one. Both are dried whole and unpitted on the farm. Choose a variety to start your enquiry.

The classic drying plum: oval fruit with firm, sweet flesh and a pit that separates cleanly. Dried, it gives a dark, glossy prune with a dense, chewy texture — the standard choice for repacking and industrial use.

Anna Späth
Whole dried prunes · unpitted
A large, late-season plum with dark skin and very sweet, juicy flesh. Dried whole, it gives a fuller, rounder and softer prune with a rich flavour, suited to retail packs and food manufacturing.

SELECTION
Fruit from our own orchards
We grow the Stanley and Anna Späth plums we dry. Variety, orchard block and picking time are decided by us, not bought in from third parties.
PROCESSING
Controlled tunnel drying
Prunes are dried in a 12-tonne tunnel dryer fired by natural gas, which runs practically continuously through the season. Drying is controlled and repeatable, not weather-dependent.
TRACEABILITY
Single-origin lots
Every lot comes from one farm and one drying hall in the Republic of Moldova. Ask us about a lot and you are talking to the people who grew and dried it.

ABOUT PLUMEX
Family-Grown. Dried on the Farm.
Plumex SRL is a family business with 20 years in plum growing in the Republic of Moldova. We grow Stanley and Anna Späth plums in our own orchards and dry them in our own drying hall, so the company you buy from is the one that picked and dried the fruit.
Our aim is to supply buyers in the European Union with bulk lots of whole, unpitted prunes, with one point of contact for specification, documents and loading.
Our orchards are in the Nisporeni district, in central Moldova. The business began 20 years ago, when our parents planted the first trees; the drying halls were built step by step as the orchards grew. The same family runs the farm today.

What is the minimum order?

Are the prunes pitted?
No. We supply whole, unpitted prunes. Pitted prunes are available on request, with availability and format to be confirmed.
Which varieties do you grow?

Can I get a sample before ordering?
